update on Kids’ Loft classes for Tem 2

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to let you know that we  have just added 3 new classes for Term 2.

First Steps (for children born in 2007)

Thursday 11 am

Friday 330pm

We are starting Kindermusik Village for Babies this saturday at 5 pm. It’s a 45 min music and movement class where parents will be having lots of fun moving, dancing and bonding with their babies. The curricula for this term is ZOOM BUGGY! It’s all about transportation. This class is for babies up to 18 months of age.

Term 2 begins

hello friends,

I’m back from my holiday and now can’t wait to be back at work!

Term 2 begins today 26th May (Monday) and ends 27th July 2009 (Monday).

The theme for this term is Animals Animals and more Animals. Will be doing lots of crafts, doing lots of activities and sing lots of songs about animals, animals, and more animals.

Most of my classes are FULL and will be looking into starting one more weekday late morning class (first steps Thurs 11 am) for term 2. Mini Open House

dear friends

Kids’ Loft will be having a mini open house this saturday 21st feb from 11 am to 3 pm. It’s a simple affair for parents and children to come and take a look at our new location and space.
Address : 192 Turf Club Road

Directions :

Light food and drinks will be served indoors.

Directions :
Drive or Walk past Turf City. Go past SPORTY JOE.
Instead of turning right to Giant Supermarket carpark…go
towards the driving range and the field.
You will see a sign that says 192 Turf Club Road.
Remember …go around the HUGE black & white house as Kids’ Loft is located at the back of the compound.

2009 Schedule updated !

Dear friends

I’m finally worked out the 2009 Schedule!!! Phew!!!! Please refer to the 2009 Schedule on the LEFT bar.

Class starts on the 28th Feb. I will try to have a small open house prior to the start of the term so that you can come and have a feel of Kids’ Loft’s environment

Will be calling existing parents on the class updates and after that….will be calling all the new parents who would like to join the class.

Dear parents

I would like to say a BIG thank you for being ever so patient with me for the past two months or so. Finally the location for Kids’ Loft is confirmed. We will be moving tomorrow and renovation works will start next monday.

I am now targeting to start classes in March 2009. Details will be out next week so please look out for it on this website.

A glimpse of the new place….but this is before some minor renovation to be done.

There will be an outdoor deck located just outside the classroom. (the U-shape part of the house). Great for outdoor activities such as painting etc etc etc. The grounds are huge with lots of space for children to run about.

Looking forward to our little new experience……….;-)

Holland V or Turf Club road?

Dear friends….

Two possibilities for Kids’ loft and would like to do a survey…….either Work Loft @ Chip Bee or PART of a black & white house at Turf Club Road. 

Work Loft @ Chip Bee

This place will double up as a place for us to stay. So it’s sort of like a home school office. The space is about 1300sq ft (one bedroom and one spacious living space). Bright and airy and cosy. But it’s a walk up apartment (2nd floor) and tho’ the location is very convenient, parking will be a problem for some due to limited lots available around the estate. Rent is about the same as Cluny Court.

Turf Club Road 

It will be part of a Huge Black and White house. Kids’ Loft will be at the back of the house. There is a family (not us) living in the main building. The intention is to use the back building which has a couple of rooms to run my school. There is a tennis court and a swimming pool in the compound. Outdoor space is gorgeous…there will be lots of space for children to run around. I will be looking at the space tomorrow and thus will have a better idea what are the sizes of the rooms available for lease. Parking is free but it’s quite deep in. You cant really access if you don’t have a car. For those who knows Turf City area…you need to drive past Giant supermarket…past the race course. The place may double us as a living space for us too. Rent is higher than WorkLoft.

 

Hmmmm….from the above…just pretend to be a potential parent looking for a playschool….which will you choose? I would appreciate if you can let me know your 2-cents worth of what you think….Thanks in advance.

uncertainties…..

Dear friends,

Past two weeks had been a roller-coaster ride for me in terms of settling on my new location of my school.  The sad news is that Stevens Close location is not going to happen even though I had  100% cofirmation from the agent. The landlord had contractors’ issues and would not commit on the move-in date. It could be indefinite. As I can’t possible wait indefinitely, I have now move on (with a heavy heart and very sadly) to looking for a new location.

Recently I found another lovely place (around Holland Village area) but am in the mist of waiting for approval to run my specific trade in that location. It’s another waiting game and once it is confirmed…it will likely be in March 2009.  Cross your fingers and pray hard for me…… I need all the luck i can get plus i need to stay positive, positive, and positive.

2009…A Fresh New Beginning….;-)

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year to you and your family!

It’s time of the year to share with you Exciting NEWS at Kids’ loft and our plans for year 2009.
The lease at Cluny court will end in January 2009 and after two years at Cluny court, we have decided to move on to a new location.

We are still finalising the new location and keeping our fingers crossed….hopefully it will be in a black and white walk up apartment in Stevens Close. For 2009, there will be some changes to the programmes offered at Kids’ Loft. Classes will begin in February 2009.

For starters….we will be having a NEW Playschool programme for children born in 2005 & 2006.  The little toddlers will now be independent (a drop off programme) and the hours spent with us will be longer. It will be from 9.15am to 12pm. If your little one brings his/her own lunch…we can have lunch together from 12 to 12.30pm. The children can come either once a week on Saturday morning or THRICE a week on weekdays (Mon, Tue & Fri). There will be two teachers in the class (including myself). Activities will include outdoor play and loads of fun indoors with activities, story sessions, crafts time, zoo phonics and definitely MUSIC & Movement.

For First Steps…hours remained unchanged at 90 mins of funfilled session with manipulatives exploration, storytime, crafts time, snack time, zoo phonics and music & movement. In order to  provide a conducive environment for both toddlers and parents, only ONE parent or caregiver will be allowed to accompany the toddler in class.
